IKANG, Bakassi Peninsula – BLACK MARINE, the militant arm of the Biafra Nations League (BnL), has reportedly killed two Cameroonian soldiers.
Newsbreak.ng learnt that members of the militant group were heading to Ikang on Nigeria’s borders at about 5:55 am on Thursday when operatives of the Rapid d’intervention Battalion (BIR) opened fire a few kilometers away.
The militants returned fire killing two BIR while one of them sustained bullet wounds, according to a source.
They proceeded back to Abana waterside where the Cameroon flag was, shot sporadically before bringing it down and hoisting Biafran flag around the poll.
Meanwhile, the BnL has called on the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami to withdraw the appeal against the judgment of the Federal High Court ordering the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
Kanu has been in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) since June 2021.■
