Political Solution, Self-defence and the Sovereign State of Biafra

I have observed with keen interest the suggestions by both political and legal pundits for a political solution to the agitation for Biafra by the old eastern region of Nigeria.

But to my understanding, most of those pundits are more interested in the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of IPOB and not the official recognition of the sovereign state of Biafra.

On a personal note, I want Nnamdi Kanu to be released and acquitted unconditionally as he hasn’t committed any criminal offence but clamouring for the right to self-determination of Indigenous Biafrans.

But to differ, I sincerely believe the official recognition of the sovereign state of Biafra should be the priority.

Recall, the re-declaration of the sovereign state of Biafra and re-hoisting of the National flag of independence was officially commemorated on 30^th October 2021 in a historic ceremony anchored by the Biafran National Guard [BNG], the military force for the people of Biafra.

Notwithstanding, there are numerous Biafran political prisoners still incarcerated for expressing their conscience for self-governance.

It will be more sensible and desirous if more attention will be given to the self-defence of Biafrans, borders and territories.

It shall be more joyous and content for the Biafran prisoners of conscience that the sovereign state of Biafra is being defended and the peoples of Biafra well-protected from the aggressions of the Nigerian State and its ‘terrorists’ armed forces.

Seeking a political solution which does not include a referendum but only the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will be an exercise in futility and not well thought about.

The Biafra National Guard [BNG] and Biafra Nations League [BNL] have shown bravery and determination in the self-defence of the people of Biafra, our borders and territories. They must be given the maximum support needed.

The so-called leaders in Africa have shown they lack the temperance for democracy, justice and equity. So whatsoever persuasion to the Fulani-controlled government in Nigeria for a political solution to the Biafra cause will be thrown into the waste-bin of Aso-Rock, Abuja.

Therefore, as a strong statement and action have been undertaken by BNG on 30^th October 2021, the acceleration for freedom must continue to be stepped on, to achieve the global recognition of the Sovereign State of Biafra.

The bull has been taken by the horn and any actions on independence of Biafra must fall behind.

With a steadfast heart, I offer my prayer to the Biafran prisoners of conscience still detained by the Nigerian State to remain determined and brave for their suffering is the sacrifice for the freedom of Indigenous Biafrans.■
