Reports monitored by SUNBIGHT MEDIA stated that pro-Biafran armed group, Biafra Nations League (BNL) have shot down a drone camera seen flying close to their operational headquarters in Bakassi Peninsula.
The reports stated that on Friday there was sporadic shooting targeted at the drone, which reportedly fell into the sea.
It has not been ascertained whether the drone camera was owned by Nigeria or Cameroonian security operatives.
The BNL Deputy Leader, Ebuta Akor Takon, confirmed the incident but was still skeptical on which of the countries was responsible for deploying the spy drone camera to their base.
He also stated that the arrival to the peninsula of BNL leader, Princewill Richard, might be the purpose of sending the drone camera to search for his whereabouts.■
