Armed group seizes, hoist Biafra flag on Bakassi peninsula border

THERE are apprehensions at the Bakassi Pennisula border following the seizure of the border by men of the Biafra Nations League (BNL), an armed group that campaigns for an independent state known as Biafra in eastern Nigeria.

Vehicular movements were restricted in the early hours of Monday by the agitators who caused traffic at the border between Akpabuyo and Bakassi.

Sources close to SUNBIGHT MEDIA revealed that the militiamen hoisted the Biafran National Flag in preparation for their show-of-force in the area controlled by the Cameroonian government.

Meanwhile, an official of BNL , confirmed the report, he said they are preparing and awaiting further action from its armed marine members.■
