THE deputy leader of the Biafran National Guard, Colonel Gabriel Onwukwe in an exclusive telephone chat with SUNBIGHT MEDIA has described as rumors and falsehoods the stories and accusation labeled against BNG.
He warned those responsible for accusing BNG of receiving sponsorship from the Nigerian government to desist from such accusations; “our personnel and few goodwill civilian citizens of the Sovereign State of Biafra are responsible for the upkeep of the military force.”
“I am not surprised that there are some individuals and groups accusing this noble force of collecting money from the terrorists Nigerian government, this is obviously because of the superlative actions displayed by us during our live broadcasts which have never been seen in the entire struggle for the restoration of Biafra since the Biafran Genocide of 1967-70”
“The Nigeria Army will give a better account of the number of their military mercenaries we eliminated at Ohafia and also in Edda before we retreated.” he continued.
“Those terrorists Nigeria soldiers are advised to release the innocent persons they have wrongly arrested and accused of being our personnel,” he added.
Gabriel Onwukwe during the chat also described himself as the deputy head of the Biafran Supreme Military Council of Administration (BSMCA), he commended the Nigerian Army for “respectfully distancing itself from our noble force responsible for the defense of Indigenous Biafrans and territories.”
Recall, the Nigeria Army in an official press statement titled “ CONSPIRACY PRETEXT EMPLOYED BY IPOB/ESN, A HOAX, described as “mischievous” the submission on social media by a Kalu Odinakachi alleging that BNG was created and funded by DMI and DSS to Enforce-Sit-At-Home in a bid to discredit IPOB/ESN.
The deputy head of the Biafran armed forces said he was deeply amused and also saddened by the lies peddled against the Biafran armed forces especially from some civil pro-Biafran groups whom he described as “our misguided brethren whom have lost direction on their way to Biafra sovereignty”.
He further assured the accusers that the defense of the sovereign state of Biafra shall continue even if “these accusers are no longer interested in the affairs of Indigenous Biafrans but their selfish ambitions.”
Speaking, he said “the blackmail against BNG must stop henceforth especially from those Biafran groups whom we expected to be proactive and more interested in defending the interest of Biafran citizens and territories but because they have access to a microphone they have resorted to gossiping and slandering against brave men and women whom have chosen to sacrifice their lives for the wellbeing of the people and territories of Biafra.”
“I want to remind them that history will never forget their wicked efforts in tarnishing the reputation of our noble cause, neither shall we also forget, the earlier they retrace their evil plots, the better for them.”
He further revealed that the Biafran armed forces is open for ideas, support and donations from sincere and responsible Biafran men and women.
Emphasizing that the defense of the people and territories of Biafra from the invading Fulani jihadists is the utmost priority of BNG.
He applauded Indigenous Biafrans for the celebration of the independence of Biafra, stating the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) Article 21 as thus “Indigenous peoples have the right, without discrimination, to the improvement of their economic and social conditions, including, inter alia, in the areas of education, employment, vocational training and retraining, housing, sanitation, health and social security.” ■
